Villopoto Flies to Third Consecutive Monster Energy Supercross Win at Cowboys Stadium

ARLINGTON, Texas (February 18, 2012) – Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto, of Poulsbo, Wash., won his third consecutive Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, race tonight at Cowboys Stadium before 53,952 fans and extended his points lead to 13 points. GEICO Honda’s Justin Barcia, of Ochlocknee, Ga., won the opening race of the Eastern Regional Supercross Lites Class Championship.

Stewart Scores First Win of the Season in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. (January 28, 2012) – In front of 46,017 fans at O.co Coliseum, Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX’s James Stewart, of Haines City, Fla., won his first Supercross Class Main Event of the 2012 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, season. GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac, of Cortez, Calif., won his second consecutive Western Regional Supercross Lites Class race.

Reed Races to Monster Energy Supercross Win at Dodger Stadium

TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed, of Dade City, Fla., won the Supercross Class main event at tonight’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, at Dodger Stadium before 35,741 fans, marking his first win of the season. GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac, of Cortez, Colo., also captured his first Western Regional Supercross Lites Class main event win of the season.

RYAN DUNGEY GIVES KTM FIRST EVER AMA SX WIN

Red Bull/KTM Factory riders Ryan Dungey and Marvin Musquin added a liberal dash of KTM orange to the Supercross and SX Lites categories of Round 2 of the AMA competition when Dungey won the SX class and Musquin was second in SX Lites. It was KTM’s first SX victory since the company committed to pursue a top place in the US competition to add to its honors in the World Championships.

VILLOPOTO VICTORIOUS IN ANAHEIM

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto, of Poulsbo, Wash., won the Anaheim opener of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, before a sold-out crowd of 45,050 fans at Angel Stadium. Troy Less Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda’s Cole Seely, of Murrieta, Calif., dominated the opening race of the Western Regional Supercross Lites Class race en route to victory.
